My Process: Where Engineering Meets the Grain
I started this business because I wanted to see how far I could push the boundary between technical precision and organic materials. As an engineer, I don't see my tools as shortcuts; I see them as a way to achieve a level of perfection that was previously impossible.
The Science of Scale
My work is defined by a resolution of 0.08 mm. To put that into perspective for my fellow technical minds, that is a scale of 80 μm, or 0.00008 m.
This is roughly the thickness of a single human hair. While I would be the first to be impressed by anyone who could achieve that by hand, I prefer to use my background in precision instrumentation to ensure every texture and detail is rendered with absolute fidelity. When I engrave a piece, I’m not just "burning a pattern"—I am managing tolerances that ensure the physical result matches the digital intent perfectly.
The Modern Design Workflow
Part of my craftsmanship involves utilizing advanced AI workflows for design. I treat these tools as a high-level extension of CAD—using them to generate complex patterns and intricate geometries that I then refine and engineer into a physical product. It’s not about "pressing a button"; it’s about mastering the logic and the software to create something truly unique.
From Engineer to "Artist"
It has been a fascinating (and sometimes humbling) challenge to evolve my skillset from the world of rigid specifications to the more fluid world of "art"—I’m still getting used to that word! Finding my style and choosing my media has been a project in itself, but I’ve found that my favorite place to be is right where the precision of an engineer meets the soul of a maker.
Bring Me Your Concept
I love taking a raw idea and applying an engineer’s eye to it. Whether you have a fully formed vision or just the seed of a concept, I would love to help you design and execute a piece that meets my 80 μm standard.
Let's bring your bright ideas to light!
